Two for Tuesday 50% off Sale!

As summer comes to an end (super sad face!) it's time to get our minds in school mode again. As a teacher, I don't know that our minds ever really turn off completely, but I hope you had at least a little break to refresh and relax. I thought about going in this week to start on my classroom, but I'm savoring these last few days will my Lilly. My classroom will still be there next week, with plenty of time to set up before the kids arrive. I can put off the craziness that is "back to school" for a couple more days.

Since we're all thinking about back to school planning, I've decided to put two behavior management products on sale for you. We all know the importance of setting high expectations for behavior the first day of school, and these monthly behavior charts are what I'm currently using. I started using these around December of last school year because my class needed something new--and wow. When I personalized the system, I saw spectacular things (and wasn't nearly as crazy!).

My favorite part about this system is probably the initial set-up. Together, the students and I determine the consequences for losing (whatever is on their chart). Students take ownership of deciding the consequences, and are therefore familiar with them. They sign the contract, their parents sign it, and I keep a copy of it in a folder, then send the original back home for parents. This leaves nothing to question for students or parents.

This system is available here, for only $1.25 today!

In my classroom my students know doing the right things pays... literally. We have a classroom economy system where we use Hollywood Bucks, because we have a Hollywood theme going on. Even without a themed classroom, having money is great, and trust me--the students love it. I use reward coupons in conjunction with the behavior charts above. Students can earn classroom money for keeping all of their daily "items," and then when it's shopping time, they spend their money on these behavior reward coupons. Shopping days are happy days, friends, for students and me.. mainly because I don't actually spend any real money.

In this set I did include classroom money, but it truly isn't necessary to use if you don't want to. Students can earn classroom rewards for whatever your current behavior management system already is.

There are 40 rewards total, as well as the classroom money, on sale today for only $2. You can check these out here

Happy shopping, friends. I hope you enjoy your last few days of summer, if you haven't started back already!

Florida Teacher Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Sunshine State! Enjoy yourself as you take a tour around our wonderful {and large!} state! Grab some freebies along the way, and be sure to enter to win our Bundles of Sunshine!

Hello, everyone! I'm Mandy, a (now) third grade teacher here in Florida. North Carolina is my home state, but my family relocated here to Crestview, Florida on military orders. We've been here a little over a year and are happy to call it "home."

Crestview is the little town people drive through to visit Destin, meaning there's not a lot to it, but at least we have a Starbucks, and a Panera on the way! Destin is about a 30-40 minute drive from our house, and we take advantage of that in the summers.

And yes.. the water really is THAT pretty. Being a touristy area, there ton's of restaurants and mini-golf places, places to shop and then more places to eat. My favorite place to eat, Crab Island Cantina, is located in that building pictured below. If you ever visit the area, we'll go on a lunch date. :)

This weekend, we have freebies for you to enjoy! Stop by each of our blogs for an activity or idea to use in your classroom. To grab my freebie just click the image below!

This is great to use to ensure you call on students equally. I assign student numbers each year, so I can reuse it yearly. There's an editable template included if you'd like to type (or write) student names on the squares (or circle) instead.

Also, I've discount two products for you, as well!

The Florida teachers below have two fantastic giveaways for you! You can enter once from each one of our pages. All you have to do is follow my blog! Hop around to all the blogs listed below, and be sure to follow them to get more entries. The more entries you have, the more likely you are to win! Each pack also includes a Starbucks gift card (because, well, a teacher's gotta have a coffee!).

Come find out more about the beautiful state of Florida by reading about these other sweet teachers!

Monday Made it: Teacher Tool Kit w/ FREE Templates & Instructions for Creating Your Own!

I've worked hard this weekend creating my own teacher tool kit for Monday Made it! I think I may be about, oh.. 2 years late on this? But I'm excited nonetheless to have created my own. I bought this toolkit from Lowe's for about $17, and spray painted it red to match my Hollywood Classroom. That was the easy part.

Then I moved on to create the inserts. It did take me a couple (like 9) tries to get the dimensions correct on the boxes, but I finally got it and want to share those with you if you'd like to create your own design. Those are available here for FREE in my TPT shop if you want to download them, or here if you'd like to download the ones I created for myself.

Now, I know most of you are tech savvy enough to figure out how to create your own designs, but here's a little tutorial for the rest of ya on how I did it. You'll need to download the editable file from TPT first and have that open while you create away. :)

The next step after I finished creating my labels was to print them on white card stock and cut them out.

Next, I arranged the labels where I wanted them to go, then used a piece of clear masking tape to tape them down. The tape isn't visible from the outside, and is easily removable should I decide to change it out. And voila!

I hope this helped!  If you decide to create your own teacher tool kit, don't forget you can download my already made templates here or a template to create your own here! Happy creating, friends! :) And don't forget to link up (by clicking the picture below) to share what you've made!
