Florida Teacher Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Sunshine State! Enjoy yourself as you take a tour around our wonderful {and large!} state! Grab some freebies along the way, and be sure to enter to win our Bundles of Sunshine!

Hello, everyone! I'm Mandy, a (now) third grade teacher here in Florida. North Carolina is my home state, but my family relocated here to Crestview, Florida on military orders. We've been here a little over a year and are happy to call it "home."

Crestview is the little town people drive through to visit Destin, meaning there's not a lot to it, but at least we have a Starbucks, and a Panera on the way! Destin is about a 30-40 minute drive from our house, and we take advantage of that in the summers.

And yes.. the water really is THAT pretty. Being a touristy area, there ton's of restaurants and mini-golf places, places to shop and then more places to eat. My favorite place to eat, Crab Island Cantina, is located in that building pictured below. If you ever visit the area, we'll go on a lunch date. :)

This weekend, we have freebies for you to enjoy! Stop by each of our blogs for an activity or idea to use in your classroom. To grab my freebie just click the image below!

This is great to use to ensure you call on students equally. I assign student numbers each year, so I can reuse it yearly. There's an editable template included if you'd like to type (or write) student names on the squares (or circle) instead.

Also, I've discount two products for you, as well!

The Florida teachers below have two fantastic giveaways for you! You can enter once from each one of our pages. All you have to do is follow my blog! Hop around to all the blogs listed below, and be sure to follow them to get more entries. The more entries you have, the more likely you are to win! Each pack also includes a Starbucks gift card (because, well, a teacher's gotta have a coffee!).

Come find out more about the beautiful state of Florida by reading about these other sweet teachers!

  3. The small towns are the best places to live aren't they? Just close enough to the touristy places, but far enough away to feel like home!

    1. Exactly! That's how I see it, too! If I had to live close to the Destin traffic I would own a scooter.. the only one with a car seat strapped to it! ;)

  8. Wow, Mandy, what a change for you moving from the Carolina's to Florida! I'm thrilled to hear that you are enjoying it... I've been to Destin once in my life on a business trip with my husband and I must say that behind Siesta Key it is my second favorite beach in Florida. I remember how powdery soft the beaches were... and gorgeous pictures you showed us. Thanks for sharing!

  9. I've only been out to the panhandle once for a wedding and it was in the Crestview area!! I didn't get to see much though, but after reading all these Florida blog hop posts it looks like I need to plan a trip out there! I'll be honest, it's just so I can try all the restaurants! ;)

  14. What gorgeous pictures! My friend and her family always go to Destin in the summer. They travel from Mississippi and always invite us, but we haven't been able to meet up there yet. I'm going to make it a point to get there soon!
