Monday Made it: Teacher Tool Kit w/ FREE Templates & Instructions for Creating Your Own!

I've worked hard this weekend creating my own teacher tool kit for Monday Made it! I think I may be about, oh.. 2 years late on this? But I'm excited nonetheless to have created my own. I bought this toolkit from Lowe's for about $17, and spray painted it red to match my Hollywood Classroom. That was the easy part.

Then I moved on to create the inserts. It did take me a couple (like 9) tries to get the dimensions correct on the boxes, but I finally got it and want to share those with you if you'd like to create your own design. Those are available here for FREE in my TPT shop if you want to download them, or here if you'd like to download the ones I created for myself.

Now, I know most of you are tech savvy enough to figure out how to create your own designs, but here's a little tutorial for the rest of ya on how I did it. You'll need to download the editable file from TPT first and have that open while you create away. :)

The next step after I finished creating my labels was to print them on white card stock and cut them out.

Next, I arranged the labels where I wanted them to go, then used a piece of clear masking tape to tape them down. The tape isn't visible from the outside, and is easily removable should I decide to change it out. And voila!

I hope this helped!  If you decide to create your own teacher tool kit, don't forget you can download my already made templates here or a template to create your own here! Happy creating, friends! :) And don't forget to link up (by clicking the picture below) to share what you've made!

  3. I bought the organizer last year and tried to make the inserts. I finally gave up because it frustrated me. Mine is black...with clear drawers. Lol! Thanks for the tutorial and template. OX

  4. Love the tutorial portion of your post. I made one of these last year but may need to update the labels. Yours looks bigger than mine, I had limited space for mine so ended up buying a smaller one. I did use it alot and it really helped keep me organized. Great Job!
